What did Shiina have to do with this release, did she write or produce?

Lena-chan 2009.01.13 01:29 AM

I believe
o.o

Even if this thread isn't (yet) as rich/informative of a resource as I might want it to be, at least it has peoples' attention and concern. It's either that, or the B-Side dies off into obscurity outside of Japan. It's one of those things like Shiroi Yume where Wikipedia or your average fansite might briefly mention that an old CD (from a dead/retired/disbanded artist) exists with one song-of-importance.

It's like the stones you pass on your way through the cemetary to the grave of the only person there that you knew - it's just a bunch of names and years that have no context or meaning, and your natural thought process is to filter them out. That's a tragic fate for a CD that had alternate packaging covers, and was sung by an actress who hasn't exactly disappeared off the face of the filmmaking planet. Reminds me of Edward Furlong who is even more internationally famous and has a published CD that is even more obscure (I stumbled upon one when I was searching through Yahoo! Japan Auctions for something else and checked through Seller's Other Items).

So Ringo DID write the lyrics for these songs? I gotta translate them then.

Glathannus 2009.02.05 03:51 PM

Speaking of translated lyrics, you might want to check out the Edit History on the Shiina Ringo page at Wikipedia. Someone recently took all the fansite links down, and they were especially angry about your site.

Weeaboo Wikipedia content Nazis suck. They love to remove links from Japanese-themed pages. Western musician's pages are full of purported "links to avoid". [/rant]
