May 27, 2018 is the final performance of Shiina Ringo's current live tour - and it's also the exact day of the 20th anniversary of her debut. She is widely expected to make an announcement of some kind. What do you think it will be?

She's got nowt worth selling for a 20th so it's that, retirement or a new album (of old tracks).

Didnt she already say multiple times that shes set her heart on behind the scenes work?

She was rumored to have said it once to someone in the industry as far as I know...I don't know that she's actually said it publicly.

But yeah, I think that's the most likely thing. I like Bongo's optimism though!

No. No I can't.

I want a new band, but find a retirement announcement more likely. Would be kind of ironic if a Utada tribute album featuring Ringo was followed by the end of Utada's hiatus, while a Ringo tribute album featuring Utada signaled Ringo's retirement. Quite fitting, actually.

Now that the forums are back she should at least hold on for more one year out of respect for us here XD

That wasn't great, but I am sure she's just having a bad day. She's had a couple of those and seems to bounce back every time.

It is toward the end of a fairly long, densely packed tour too. She's got to be feeling some fatigue.
