If the mods want to put it up on the front of the forum it's up to them. I just posted a link to gabbly, haha.
As far as the community standpoint I wouldn't think of it like that. It's just talking to each other (somewhat) personally rather than in a thread. It doesn't always lead to major heated discussion that people miss out on.
