I wasn't meant to be insulting. Of course you've been studying Japanese for several years, nobody just jumps in N3 (JLPT basically killed me so I have no plans to take that again anytime soon). It wasn't so much a criticism directed towards you as a general rumination on Shiina's lyrics and how they aren't "normal" Japanese. But I apologize for the condescending remarks.
