When you kids are old and gray (like myself), you will start to see things differently.
On another, younger note, I finally watched GEKOKUJYO XTASY all the way through, intently, in one sitting, last night, which I had never done. I've had the thing for over a year, I just didn't think it would hold a candle to Electric Mole or DO. I was wrong. Oh Jesus, except for the guitarist, that DVD fucking rocks! I love the Ringo Birthday Party scene. That was her 22nd, I think. She looks so young. I think her voice is maturing nicely, but it was not bad then. It will probably not happen with this version of TJ, but I will not be surprised if she returns to the full on rock sound in one of her future incarnations. She has to. (I'm going to give a copy of GE to my friend's 16 year old suburban punk daughter. She's a tiny alternateen in an all girl band, I think she will appreciate this version of Shiina.)
BTW, this one ends with yet another version of Onaji yoru, the orchestral/rock version.
