I listened to both Reimport and Sunny repeatedly when they first came out, even though both were actually, physically painful to hear. My ears were messed up for weeks after I finally stopped, with ringing, plus what seemed to be some sort of cramping in the muscles surrounding the ear canal.

I am 100% positive that this was due to the various production issues on these albums. I've also had similar issues listening to low-bit-rate (128 kbps) MP3s.
