^ I wish I was able to get into Boris as I'm fairly close to one of their upcoming shows. No one I'm already into comes this close.

New Gusya Ningen single is out very soon:

They also tweeted that the PV is out on the 27th of this month with this picture attached):

That's only 2 days. Cannot wait to hear it!

BTW: the post attached says this:
PV凄い、狂ったように何度も見てる。 皆さまへ、「プロモーション」のためのビデオだからね、発売日を待たずに見れると思いますよ。 何もかもがうまく行けば、7/27のぐしゃ人間&妖精達の企画でお披露目かも! 画像は大森靖子ちゃんぽい瞬間!

I can't really understand it. Her in the PV???? Hell, her on that still frame?????

You'd think it would be mentioned on Oomori's page too if that was the case???

Funny that you say that. I think it just says that the girl in the still frame looks like Seiko Oomori. I don't know who this band is, but they must be fans.

Hmm ok. Still, a band that is nothing like Oomori mentioning her in such a way is showing she's starting to be a relatable name...

Gusya Ningen are a pretty great moody/dark/hard rock band with a good female vocalist. Im sure there's a 'kei' attached to their style but I don't know which one.

Worth checking out, been following them for a long time now.

Gusya

Imogen Heap's Sparks was released today n the US and it is utterly fantastic. I fell in love with this album bit by bit as it was released over the years, and the amazing thing is that even though each of the songs were worked on in succession and completely separately, it still feels like a complete, solid piece of work instead of a disparate collection of songs (something Ms. Ringo is having problems with lately I would say). It's unified not by textual themes but by sonic themes, in that it is an incredibly sample-heavy album but not in any way you would expect. I'm still amazed that I can listen to a song and come to the sudden realization that the sound I thought was some kind of percussion instruments like maracas is actually teh sound of a foot stepping in fresh, crunchy grass. Amazing.

Looking forward to eventually getting my copy of Dry the River's Alarms in the Heart. Some songs sounded beautiful from the start, but so far the album as a whole hasn't impressed me as much as their first release. I'll need to listen to it all the way through more than once before I can make up my mind.
