I thought it was an "expectation vs. reality" thing, not a "visuals vs. music" thing, but now I'm confused as well.

Re-read TurtleFu's post. He's totally blowing up because the visuals overshadow the music. How you conclude that without seeing it, I don't know. This, however, does not fill me with confidence:
Us "haters" have been saying Tokyo Jihen has been moving to a mainstream sound since Adult. It's about time the visual aspect matched the audio.

strangely, that goofy kind of presentation made the live version of Service tolerable for me.
we'll never see that ever again from here on out, so i'm happy. the theatrics had to have been Ringo's idea. |

Maybe I'm overracting a bit
Butas Jihad pointed out, several people HAVE seen teh show, and they can't even agree on the setlist! However, they all remember the costumes and other bullshit. |

To be fair, 29 or so tracks is a lot to remember after only one listen. After the Expo, I couldn't remember what the second track was (Sid's Daydream). It wasn't because it was a bad performance, but because there was just so much to digest immediately following the show.

and jeez I forgot how awful that song is. (Phase 2 style anyway. I thought the Phase 1 style was going to be a hit song.)
