Decent song. It definitely sounds like something from Adult, as others have pointed out. Tomosaka Rie is.... not the best singer but the song kinda suits her voice. But it just sounds like she's completely holding back when she sings. It bugs me. Best part is 1:47-2:30. The little piano solo's awesome. Guitar solo is surprisingly good too because Uki's style lends well to a song like this. The guitar part sounds like surf rock to me and that suits the whole 60's vibe.

It's not as brilliant a pop song as Shoujo Robot, and it could be too busy instrumentally to my tastes (not decided), but it's creative and fun. I actually think TR's voice is a big part of the interest of this song, especially that note! The 60s-meets-Mayonaka ska sound separates it out from being an Adult offtake in my mind. The piano motif is very catchy and I'm also into the piano solo. Uki's guitar can't remind me of Toumei Ningen because I find that song unlistenable (soooooo pleased SR is solo again , I don't have any particular Phase 1>Phase 2 bias if you subtract Variety, both TJs made me wish SR would go solo).

I love how in the start of the video she has that little hat. It turns that wig into a super wig for sure! Does anyone picture this song as the ending/starting theme for like a detective anime of sorts? I don't think the song is all that bad. Not the best thing on earth but it's worth a listen.

"Ariamaru Tomi" infected everyone in these forums. Only you and me are safe from the disease.
Wait, I think you also said "Ariamaru" is her best song since the whole MM. Zombie! I don't even remember your opinion on that song. |

I once said the song is amazing but it does not grow like MM/SS/KZK I hope the b-side would sound better For me Tokai no Manaa is worth a listen The arrangement is fine but it's definitely not a masterpiece Last edited by ChickShhh : 2009.05.24 at 08:55 AM. |

I don't think it would sound out of place in the Variety tracklist.

I'm starting to think that it DOES sound better than every track on VARIETY -- Discounting the live performances, that is. Just imagine how horrific it would be if Rie came on during Shiina Ringo's Sanmon Ecstasy and performed this live?
