As for the [previously leaked] PS3 Slim, personally I think it looks cheap and ugly. I'm happy to stick with my shiny, fat PS3. Great news on the price cut though, overall it's the best move Sony have made in a long while.

Yeah, I'm not judging his entire story or anything, I was just really bored with the footage they chose to show at E3. This trailer, the girl in the club and the girl escaping the house look much better.

CryEngine 3 demonstration running on the PS3 (they had the 360 and PS3 version running side by side, and they're identical apparently). Looks sexy as hell, of course. Watch the whole thing!

The new Just Cause 2 trailer looks gorgeous also, and very, very fun.

Yeah, not this week though. I've just added and used points on Trials HD which is absolutely fantastic. Addictive as hell, loads of stuff to do and one of the best level editors I've used. Download the trial and check it out if you haven't!

I was extremely addicted to Heroes of Might and Magic 2 when it first came out. Somehow none of the later games have really captured that for me. I tried out 3 and it was moderately addictive, then ignored the franchise for many years until 5 came out, so somehow I skipped over 4. I wasn't terribly excited about 5, but I would still rather play that than many other strategy/RPG franchises from the western world.

How is it? People in the NeoGAF thread are claiming that it is actually noisier.

Nah, mine so far has been whisper (no pun intended) quiet. The non shiny surface is also pretty welcome as well. As with all first runs I'll assume that a few are going to be dodgy, but mine so far has been rock solid.

Edit: Managed to sell both my old Phat PS3's for £220 each which wasn't too bad at all still had all the boxes and they were clean, so it was still a good deal for the folk who bought them off me. I threw in copies of the new Batman game and Killzone 2 with them also (had a few spares that a friend got for me free) so I'm happy and they are happy too with their deal.
