thanks for the translations! the only one that kinda jumped off the page at me was "make me toothless." I took a look at that section, it jumped off the page cuz it sounded awkward and I think its a word play going on. Why did you pick toothless? Honenuki refers to striping something of the bone, like cleaning a fish, or lacking moral integrity or a backbone, so I would have gone with something along the lines of "strip me shameless" or something. anyways, as always thanks for doing translations, just a thought I thought I'd share.

Thanks, Frecklegirl. Even if it doesn't really mean "make me toothless", I still find myself kind of loving that line. It seems like a predator losing its teeth in the flesh of its prey.

To me, "honenuki" (in this context) means a situation where you are sexually attracted to someone so much you cannot refuse anything thrown from him. I think "toothless" is a pretty good word to describe it.

The meaning is correct (it's one of word dictionary proposed for)
but still sounded silly as lyrics. It's like making her as hag.

thats why I suggested strip me shameless, because strip is both a sexually charged word and also implies the striping of flesh or peeling away of the bone, but in this situation it sounds like she will literally do anything. oh ringo, always so classy.

Yes, obama917 consulted on this and I translated that line according to his interpretation.

But I do agree... ''toothless" doesn't fully convey the meaning of "willing to do anything due to overwhelming attraction." "Spineless" perhaps works but doesn't have the exact right connotation. ("Spineless" was my first attempt until obama917 suggested a change.) While good, "Strip me shameless" is too euphemistic for my tastes, I like to keep things mostly literal yet pretty.

So, alternate phrasing I'm considering:

Make me...
...weak-kneed
...weak
...submissive
...compliant
...yield control
...yielding
...willing/ready and willing
...predisposed/disposed
...prone

Any thoughts?
