Natsume Mito

Prediction: When it is finally released, Natsume Mito's debut will be the most interesting Nakata produced album in years.

Let's see if I'm right. But man- it's like he's thrown all his experimental side into the one artist... I really like what I'm hearing in this song, it's both ridiculously cute and catchy and at the same time, so much warmer than anything I've heard from him since I can remember. I also prefer her voice on a personal level, though I know she probably would irk some people. No vocoder on it either so thats nice.

I'll admit that Nakata does an excellent job of keeping all his projects musically delineated. Which means that I'm content to let him keep doing whatever Valium-filled caps lock bullshit he's doing for Capsule, or whatever "direction" he thinks he's taking Perfume in (when their best album is six years behind them), because that novel new act like Kyary (indulge me) or Natsume Mito will impress.

CHVRCHES- Leave a Trace

What do people reckon of new Chvrches single? I think it's really cute. More of the same but they're probably gonna fare better than new Purity Ring. That's my prediction anyway.
