Listened up to Even So. I'm a tad disappointed, because Even So went more 'poppy', and Heaven's Kitchen was such a gem, from start to finish (I like EVERY track on it). Let Go started off well, but I was ultimately disappointed with that, too.

Ahh, if you don't like the more poppy sound of "Even So" you should probably stop there because that's been all of her releases since. (Some songs sound like her old stuff, but it's a minority.) I like all of it for the most part so I'm cool with this but some people aren't.

I don't know why her new single (released today) isn't out @ KMC yet. Grrrr.
"Joy" is very good, btw. Not omg-impressive good, but still good. |

Grr, same here! I was looking for it and couldn't find it. But her new album's track list and cover was just announced (title: "One"), and I preordered it on Cdjapan today!

Well, I found the single already. It's pretty good, altough "Joy" is the worthiest A-Side. "Happy Ending" is not that special, I think.
Anyway, the tracklist for One seems very good. I was trying to get the "Fed Up feat. Craig David", but only found it at japanese iTunes. But it doesn't matter anymore, since it's going to be on the album. It's good that there's only 3 (or 4, if you include the bonus track) songs we have heard, and the rest of the album is all un-heard stuff |

I had never heard of Bonnie Pink before this thread, but I've been listening to a number of her songs today on YouTube and I like them, although I consider her music rather unexceptional. It's the kind of music that makes me pause and wonder, "if this was a song by an American artist, would I find it even vaguely appealing?"
I sometimes am a bit uncomfortable with my old school Japanophilia, what with this new generation of weeaboo kids with their shallow, fetishistic, anime-fueled obsession with Japanese culture. I've never had the slightest misgivings about my parallel Anglophilia. Oh well... |

I'd also say she does nothing exceptional well in a technical sense, but she does a better job than most in creating a mood. Her music is really seasonal to me.

I've been listening to Bonnie Pink for a few years now, and while I truly love a good amount of her songs, she has too many throwaways to be one of my favorite artists.
