1)Kyogenshou
2)Kabuki-cho no jou 3)Marunouchi Sadistic 4)Mellow 5)Yattsuke Shigoto 6)Kuki 7)Tsumi to Batsu 8)Okonomi de 9)Ishiki 10)Keikoku 11)Souretsu 12)Honnou 13)Izonsho MM:3 SS:4 ZCS:1 KZK:5 If "Mellow" @4 is cheating, then put in Gips. Marunouchi over Meisai was a TOUGH decision... Track 5 and 9 are real dry spots across the board, relatively. Kyogenshou over Tadashii Machi was tough to, as was Kuki over Identity. Im a lil bumed MM's best songs matched up with Souretsu, Mellow, Gips, and Tsumi to Batsu.

Oh, TJ sounds more like fun. Let me see.
01 - Himitsu 02 - Kenka Joutou 03 - Jusui Negai (Keshou Naoshi ;_; ) 04 - Superstar 05 - OSCA 06 - Yukigini 07 - Kabuki 08 - Blackout 09 - Tasogare Naki 10 - Toumei Ningen 11 - Bokoku Jousho 12 - Yume no Ato I'm sorry to exclude Kronekodow and Service, but you just CAN'T exclude the Yukigini-Kabuki-Blackout sequence. Also, I didn't include Metro because it would go SO wrong after Yume no Ato. All in all: Kyoiku: 2 Adult: 9 Variety: 1 Adult wins, of course. |

Tokyo Jihen:
1. Himitsu 2. Gunjou Biyori 3. Keshou Naoshi 4. Sounan 5. Shuraba 6. Yukiguni 7. Genjitsu wo Warau 8. Blackout 9. Tasogare Naki 10. Omatsuri Sawagi 11. Tegami 12. Killer Tune Education = 4 Adult = 7 Variety = 1 I'm not surprised with V's representation at all, although OSCA almost made the #5 spot. E is my favorite Tokyo Jihen thus far with A trailing a little behind, so I'm surprised it seems to be the opposite based on this list. In fact, it was almost a track-by-track bout between E and A, and V was that scrawny Russian wrestler with the big heart and busted-up nose who never stood a chance. |

I dislike Variety with a passion, but Killer Tune is actually one of my favorite Tokyo Jihen songs. Go figure. That little bridge from 1:27 - 1:41 is like a big moist orgasm for the ears. Besides, I'm not a big fan of the non-HF version of Yume no Ato.

01. Tadashii Machi
02. Kabuki-cho no Joou 03. Marunouchi Sadistic 04. Hatsukoi Shoujo 05. Yami ni Furu Ame 06. Kuki (English version featured on vinyl) 07. Yokushitsu (Heisei Fuuzoku instrumental version) 08. Stoicism 09. Ishiki 10. Sakana 11. Souretsu 12. Honnou 13. Izonshou I had some very tough choices to make here. #1, #7, and #8 were all such close calls, that I decided awww fuck it, and then I ultimately chose which of the two contenders for a trackslot I thought would fit in alongside the other trackslots I was more certain about. This would be a great compilation except it starts out with momentum that only Muzai Moratorium can provide, then this compilation effectively starts over, because none of the Track #4's could carry the ultimate opening trio any further - not even the fourth track from Muzai Moratorium itself. Beyond that, I love the way the rest of the compilation flows, at least until Honnou. Yeah, I included Souretsu but not Shuukyou. I might be excommunicated from the Apple Gods for that. |

This is what happens when there is a break in any news from/about Shiina...
I could probably make a "best lives" comp, I kind of already have, except I don't have everything, and some of the boots are so poor quality I would not use them. But kudos to Glath and Hedo, I do have the DVD lives, and Spa & Treatment... Another thread? |

Yeah, I've thought of doing "best of" live compilations many times. Go ahead and start the thread yourself. And don't confine it to Track/Chapter number quotas, because if you think long and hard about it, you have to realize how much of a headache that would be, especially with all the custom rips floating around the web that either exclude the intermissions, or renumber the tracklists in some other way.
