I keep on hearing people say the Great Teacher Onizuka drama is better than the anime. I've read the manga and adored it though. But I haven't seen the drama or the anime. Thoughts on this, golem?

I haven't seen the anime but I know there is no way it's worse than the dorama, mainly because the dorama sometimes fails by trying to renact animeish situations that don't work/look silly in real life. Either way, I loved to watch the show. The characters/actors work extremely well

the anime is supposed to be worse than the manga. But I watched the whole anime already, so reading the manga won't happen in the next years for me.
And seriously there IS no excuse for not watching Great Teacher Onizuka (or reading the manga, which is even longer) And I won't understand why you don't want to watch it because it's too long. It's good, so having more of something good is better than having less. Nobody forces you to watch it in one go. Aside from that every student is kind of a new story arch, and there are several in the 43 episodes.

I have a rule: I just watch an anime series if it's better than the manga, just read the manga if it's better than the anime... same with live actions, drama and light novels
and I only break this rule if it worth my time

The best anime series are Monster and Fantastic Children
If you do not agree then we probably can't be friends |

*where are the Phoenix Wright images when you need them * I have yet to see Fantastic Children tho. It's one of those series I downloaded because it clearly seemed promising but ended up never watching because I can't watch everything. |

Fantastic Children is, well.. fantastic
It starts off kinda slow but the mystery keeps you hooked, and then by about episode 8 or so it just takes off into an utterly beautiful story. It also has a lot of great plot twists that are subtly hinted at throughout the series, and when they are revealed everything ties in so brilliantly. The whole series is on veoh, if anyone wants to watch it without having to torrent or anything |

I JUST deleted Monster after having it on my computer for months and never getting around to watching it! Poop. I liked what I did watch though. The first ep or so.
