so I got my package and within 15 minutes of opening it knocked a glass entirely full of ice water right on top of my laptop, which has no protection over the keyboard



ringo doesn't realize the effect her naked body has on a ;;cough gay cough;; man. seriously.

I put it out in the sun for a few hours. one of the perks of living in honolulu in late june is the blazing sun, hooray for nature. so I blasted it with UV rays (I'm sure my monitor loooooved that) and brought it inside. I'm running it now to back up my HD and rip the music to my iPod, but I'm going to avoid using it for the next 24 hours or so so the water can dry up. fortunately I had the reflexs of a cat and managed to turn off the power while taking out the battery on top of flipping it upside down to splash most of the water out before it got under the keys....

anyways, I did manage to listen to SG through one full time on my iPod. I feel like this album is so insane I can't write a review yet, it is a little much to take in. I will say that Maru Expo version was instant love for me (maybe its the koto). I'll come back in another day or two with a review for SG. Meanwhile, I'm off to listen to Tori Dori and write my impressions of that.

@ frecklegirl, this is going to be fun to translate. her lyrics her are so insane and nearly impossible to decipher from my read through I cant even imagine what will turn up with the rikaichan at a glance scan, XD.

Listened to album once, didn't like what I heard. I've never skipped so many tracks in a Shiina album before.

Went to Camera Obscura concert and I was smiling the whole time, big time endorphin rush. SG? Ugh...the best thing I can say is that there were one or two songs that I listened to the whole way through.

My opinion might change slightly after a few more runs through, but I can tell that the melodies just aren't there.

Little do I know, CD Japan doesn't care who pre-ordered the same pressing first - they just take all their first-press customers and ship out alphabetically according to surname so I can be last.
