Can't wait to hear the rest of that song.
I think there's a possibility of her coming to America. I posted a picture of her a looooong time ago with this Japanese woman that promotes Japanese bands in America named Audrey Kimura. If there's a chance for Oomori to come to America, I think Audrey would help with that. Only other thing I could think of is she tagged along with Next Music From Tokyo in Canada, but that's not an American "tour". |

Oh man, I thought it was the full song/PV for a moment!
@kalmia: THANKYOU FOR THE EFFORT!!! (before it gets lost in the excitement) I really appreciate it! (I repped you too because you went way beyond my expectations, simple text summary would have been fine, amazing!) Also, covers for the single are out! I love both.... maybe I'll just have to grab both. AKB-like creepy tier fandom is starting to kick in!

Very excited about the vid!!!! Love the kind of half-hearted yet over the top way she tries to teach the moves. It seems authentic but satirical at the same time. But maybe I'm juts trying to look for that kind of thing with her

Seems like that's her normal personality to me. She secretly wants to be pop-idol star; it's obvious!
Does anyone know Oomori's background? Did she go to college for music or anything? Or possibly dropped out to pursue music? |

Did anyone else get to catch the live chat? She went on for over 2 hours. Broke down crying for about 10-15 minutes near the end. It was definitely interesting.

Wish I did, I only found out about it when you posted! I would have been too shy to ask anything anyway lol
And yeah, I get what you mean FadedSun! Like she's really happy to be doing it but she hates that she's so happy about it lol. She's great.

I don't disagree!!! I'm super excited, wish she was releasing the single earlier so I could buy it while I'm here!
(I love your enthusiasm btw, these days Oomori is one of the only artists I'm legitimately excited about. Her persona is just magnetic for me.)

I'm going to disagree. Maybe comparing onstage persona only. I wouldn't compare Togawa and Oomori in any other sense. Oomori is no way near as experimental in her musical approach.

Is anything really experimental except for Sunn O))) anymore though? :-p
Oomori is the closest modern thing to Togawa I know of. Togawa owes a lot of her experimental edge to the people she worked with. Oomori has a bunch of more experimental tracks that she's guested on too...
