I agree that this one sounds like anybody could have made it. I don't think that makes it bad -- it just makes it Tokyo Jihen pop.
This is probably the first SR/TJ song I've listened to where I didn't feel compelled to give it more than a few tries. I mean, I expect that I'll hear it a lot more in the future, but unlike the songs on Variety (and the other two albums), I don't feel like it has a deeper level to it. And I do like Kameda's songs -- just not this or Shiseikatsu as much as his previous few. But I think Shiseikatsu is more original than this. |

I think this song pwns Shiseikatsu :p.
Maou, I don't have a problem with you joking around, I just don't think that you guys should talk about wanting Ringo to write music like before when she has not even written any of the new music. It doesn't make sense for you to talk as if she wrote this new music and sucked at it when she didn't. |

Haha. That's awesome. Now I like the song even more.

Meh, that's fine. I don't hear anything amazing in the studio version of the song either way, so if Izawa is playing guitar, he's not doing anything special. And if Uki is playing guitar, he's not doing anything special. I just don't want to learn that Uki wasn't playing in Fukushuu. |

In any case, SR's tastes change so rapidly that even when they seem as far as possible from anything that I enjoy I have faith that she'll just flit back to something I like eventually. In that sense I have the same listening relationship with her as I do with PJ Harvey and Björk. If I'd abandoned either of those two prematurely, well, I wouldn't have heard White Chalk or Drawing Restraint 9 and that would have been a damn shame. |

Seems that HMV Japan already has my DVD and vinyl (among other things), but my order is being held up by a SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS vinyl (from the UK) that HMV should've had in stock two weeks ago. It's probably more Brownswood's fault than HMV's. I never thought I'd say this, but damn you, Gilles Peterson! I've laid the order down on October 7th, and your own website says the release date is October 22nd!

Technically, the DVD comes out today, but no one has it yet, unless you are in Japan, probably.
