Nope, that texture reloading is a common problem of the Unreal III engine. It's the same in Gears of war and also in Lost Odyssey. The textures have to be decompressed before they are loaded, so there won't be an patch for that ever. That's one of the problems that comes with the little space that can be put an a DVD:

It isn't half as bad in Gears of War. If it can't be eradicated, it can certainly be improved. If the textures take an extra second to load, then I'd rather the loading screen be on for another second. And the frame-rate is the main problem that needs sorting out.

Today I ordered Ninja Gaiden Black, Conker and Jade Empire for 45€. One game for the 360 is 60€ to get a comparison.
Yeah, I'm preparing for my 360 to arrive...
Next games will be Gears of War and Mass Effect. Then the Elite in january.

Nice. My Xbox is currently being passed around to friends who don't have one. Already convinced 2 of them to get a 360.I never got round to Jade Empire. How is it? I've heard mixed things.

Just downloaded the Halo theme (Mjolnir Mix) for Guitar Hero 3 (For free). I always imagined that song on Guitar Hero. Tis awesome. And I bizarrely got the achievement for completing Medium campaign for completing it, despite the fact that I was playing it on Expert and I've never touched the medium campaign

I didn't like Jade Empire nearly as much as KotOR (and now Mass Effect). I liked the setting much more, but the core gameplay never felt right to me. It didn't ever feel fluid.

It's time. I'm getting ready for my 360.
I could order my Elite at amazon on the 16th by using a Visa, but then I won't get a 360 with a Falcon board for sure...
In any store I could check out the serial number before buying, but there I can't pay with Visa. Which means, I'd have to wait another month until I got the money.
Maybe I'll just order one from amazon and hope that I have luck...

They seem like a place that goes through stock quickly. I just think they probably don't have any of the old stock left, but what do I know? I'm impatient and would just buy the thing regardless.

I'm going to try Assassin's Creed after finals are over so next Thursday.
