Salo only needs to be seen once. Anybody who sees it more than once should immediately check into the local laughing academy. Get some wrist restraints and an IV.

And if anyone wants to read a book where a major part of it is eating poo, sometimes vomit, in different styles, they should read the book it was based on - 120 Days of Sodom by Marquis de Sade.
I was reading it until a friend of mine stole it from me... of course, the reaction was how unbelievably disgusting it is, but by the end of the day we spent in school together I didn't get it back anymore. That kind of alibism probably made the film a legend (I haven't seen it yet, but my boyfriend did and said it's really light compared to the book) |

I've just watched Crank 2.
My god, what a movie. I thought I knew what was coming after watching Crank 1, but this fucked up shit is more than I ever expected. WOW. I've never anything like that in cinema.

I'm really bad with this, films never give that much of a lasting impression on me.
But since I've recently been on a Disney movie spree, I'll share my favorite Disney films: The Little Mermaid (Swedish dub) I rewatched this the other day and I'm really impressed how good they match the foreign voice actors for the characters in their films. They usually all sound alike. And in the Swedish dub Ariel had a great voice actress; Sissel Kyrkjebø, a Norwegian singer. She has this slight accent in Swedish, but to the point where it's charming and doesn't sound bad at all. The Swedish versions of Part Of Your World and Part Of Your World (Reprise) are really beautiful - especially the intro of the latter. Oh, and Ursula is fabulous. Finding Nemo Ellen DeGeneres as Dory.. need I say more?
..I might update this later, lol? Last edited by Simon : 2009.04.17 at 01:51 PM. |

Disney movie sprees are real nice. I always just want to stay home from school and do that all day, but haven't actually done so yet. It'll happen, though.

Just finished watching Purple Rain, the Prince movie.
Let's just say it's not so much of a movie, but more of a fiction concert. The plot is pretty basic and sometimes it's kinda cheesy, for current standards. But if you watch in a 80s mood, you'll probably enjoy. Not to mention the performances are awesome, even tho it's all pre-recorded and not exactly live. I'm discovering his discography chronologically, so I'll only watch the sequel, Grafitti Bridge, when I reach that point in his career. |
