I loved the Back Horn for a few months around 2 years ago. That was one of my favorite songs.

Yeah same for me, it's long been one of my favorites. I was a big fan around the time their 2nd and 3rd [major] albums came out, but I didn't follow them too much afterwards and never really got around to buying a CD. But just a couple of months ago I finally got their best of album which reignited my love for them. I adore the vocalist's voice.

In the same order I got GO!GO!7188's best of album, who were basically in the same situation as The Back Horn to me and I underwent the same kind of revival of interest with them too.

I went to that concert, TeslaGuy!

Reply for merman - I'm loving Faye Wong's Fable album, it's very dreamy. I originally wanted Jiang Ai after watching Bu Liu on YouTube but can't find that legit yet. I get the Goldfrapp comparison with The Cambrian Period. So far Chanel, Fireflies and Don't Love Those Who Don't Love Me (interesting composition as slow songs go) are my favourites.

my favorites aside from "Chanel" are "New Tenant" and "smile forget... book" (? I just know the kanji, what does it MEAN?)

The bad thing with Faye Wong CDs is that they're all OOP. I'm lucky enough to have gotten into her early enough so I could get her last few albums. And my sister studying abroad in China certainly helped.
But I'm always surprised how many of her CDs are on ebay. It's where I recently picked up this EP.

Sufjan Stevens - You Are The Blood

This is so good. I recommend listening to the entire song. I mean, it's 10 minutes, but it doesn't even feel drawn out or anything because it's just that awesome. It's so different from what I've heard of Sufjan as well. I guess he had to spice it up to make this an interesting cover.

There does seem to be a few Faye Wong albums on UK iTunes, just not Jiang Ai/To Love surprisingly, but music this lush makes me want a CD with the least sound compression (not that I'm an expert on that). My Fable AACs appear to be 256kbps, 44.1kHz.

"smile forget... book" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o074kve6LwQ) appears in Chinese characters and English on my player as (笑忘书) Forgotten Letter After a Smile and (给自己的情书) Love Letter to Myself (it's there twice). It's a very graceful song, more music should be written in 6/8. (OT: I remembered this discussion on the forum of SR/TJ's triple-meter tunes: http://electricmole.net/showthread.p...8707#post18707)

Maybe there should be a Faye Wong thread since enough of us like her, I'd start it but I only knew her as a beautiful android in 2046 till this week .

Also: you also made me think of listening to The Smiths again, I think Meat is Murder was my favourite album of the ones I had .
