I always hear a "Live and Let Die" kinda vibe in the song.

Yokyou can also be translated as "Entertainment" in addition to "Side Show."

Ringo's official translation was "Last Call." Uh, however that relates to side shows/entertainment.

I honestly love this song, orchestra and all. I was idly listening to Ringo Expo audio rips and I got all excited when it came on and I've only listened to it like once or twice.

ROFL, I never thought of checking the english kronekodow discography. I somehow suspect instead of giving direct translations of her titles she sometimes goes for an entirely new title that fits the concept. I skipped the entertainment bit because of Variety...

Yeah, that is often the case. I mostly have fun amusing myself looking at her renditions. (Like how in the world does Sakana = Titbits?! It has made me wonder if she meant the other, non-"fish" meaning of Sakana--but then fish are mentioned in the song lyrics! aaaargh)

But sometimes, if there were two meanings of a word, and she chooses one, it helps elucidate it (like junketsu means purity and chastity, and she went with chastity. Chastity it is).

However sometimes she just messes things up. Like Rinne Highlight became "Transmigration Highlights." Um, Ringo, you didn't use the Transmigration kanji for "Rinne," you used the Reincarnation kanji. Not sure how that works.

and she would probably be smart-ass enough to answer back "poetic license"

that my answer to all my spelling mistakes in high school english class.

yeah, I remember the english for Adult was particularly interesting.

Adult had "Unvisible Man". I think THAT was my favorite. I don't know why Himitsu and Tegami were "A Secret" and "A Mail" respectively when "Secret" and "Letter" sound better and are even more symmetrical but well, poetic license.
What's the other meaning of Sakana? Is it "zaamen"?

It's three definitions, all something that would be really hard to get across in English without a million words.

肴 (sakana): 1) snack served with drinks; 2) performance to liven up a bar; 3) conversation to liven up a party.

We just really don't have a word that would succinctly express all that. But I really enjoy that Japanese does.
