I admit that my first reaction was to think this was an April's Fool as well! But the email Neko copied here is the same one I forwarded him, so I believe it.
That's quite a suprising piece of news, to address this in public o_o I've always thought that if members were to quit, it'd be done like pulling a band-aid, like the last time, and not by hinting at it...

Maybe Ringo will just demote Ukigumo to playing vacuum cleaner and doing vocal "bum bum bum"s like he did on KSK instead of playing guitar. That would be awesome.

oh, you know ukigumo did more than just the bums on that track if you get what I'm sayin

as a general note: there is a reason why this was posted in the main forum and not the news, because its speculation, not news, so chillax and enjoy yourself until we get some new juicy news.

in the meantime lets amuse ourselves by imaging what an uki-less jihen would be like. or better yet, what uki did to piss ringo off

my guess is he was stealing her hair products and tampons.

edit: I read Uki's wikipedia and saw some interesting stuff. Apparently Ringo worked with him on the demos for Kyouiku (when she was writing it mostly by herself) and then later when looking for guitarists the other members (hata and kameda) was like who is that, we should get him! and of course that was uki. I also didn't know the extent to which he has worked with ringo throughout her career. He wrote the music and arranged ichijiku no hana (ringo just did lyrics), and he also played guitar on meisai and ishiki (old news I know). apparently he also helped with the design for utaite myori and a whole bunch of other stuff. kind of weird that after all this time people would suddenly surmise that they have a bad relationship

I wouldn't be surprised... we're kind of isolated and we get most of our info from various official sources. To know the rumors you'd have to be involved with the Japanese fandom... I think.
