There are a few bands with three guitars. Radiohead even, and especially, in their early days for instance.

Are you talking about the clips of Zettaichi tai juxtaposed with Bunmei-kaika? If so, when I watched the clip of the former I just thought it was "ye olde Shiina Ringo" out there performing. Plus, isn't that how she's supposed to sound on that song? I thought both clips were pretty darn good and suckered me for the concert.

Then I saw the other clip and was reminded how much of the show would likely be. Still, the band sounds years apart from JCHI, sound much better together.

I don't know man.

I watch Gekukuyou and DO and Electic Mole and you basically have Ringo convulsing on the stage, it just seems so odd when she stands by the microphone and doesn't even move. at. all.

I'm sure Maou will be able to correct me on the guitar Uki is playing on the Onna no ko wa Dare demo clip, but part of me wishes time could rewind and have him use that guitar (or the Jaguar he uses in the Zetaichi clip) instead of that dreadful Phantom Vox. He sounds like butter on Onna no ko, what a bummer.

Zettaichi is MEANT to be stoic.

Anyway, I wrongly believed that Ringo's performance style has 'declined' during the years, but if you look back at the older concerts, she isn't always running wild on stage. It depends on the song.

edit: I think I'm going to like 32sai thingy, especially when (if) she releases it properly. At first it sounds kind of like a 'j-pop melody', like a Kameda style song, but then she steers away from that. I'm happy!

Epic is not the word I'd use. Shiina sounds good and Hata is amazing when he's not being destroyed by shitty studio production. Izawa and Uki sound terrible. Boxy, compressed and lacking energy. Sounds like somebody got a new amp. : /
I see what you saying and agree with the Izawa and Uki comment.....but I finding it very hard to care! <:O That looks like that would have been really fun to see live.

When is 32-sai no wakare due out anyways?

Tokyo Jihen finally does a rendition of 'Shuukyou?'

that was my reaction at the opening verse of 'A Separation'.
