WOW. That was such a mad game. Next Patapon challenge: Get the Dunga's head and bring it back to Rio-polis for a feast and some sacrifices to the angry Brazilian tribes...

After England's defeat my house and our neighbours flipped coins to pick sides to support for the remainder of the World Cup, to keep the excitement and start a bit of rivalry. They thought they had it good with Brazil They only had their flags up for one day. We're supporting Argentina.

Such a shame Ghana had to miss that pen, and the team who handballed the ball off the line in the final minute had to go through. No offence to Uruguay who have otherwise been good in this tournament, but aargh... I really hate football sometimes...

And the octopuss was right:
Argentina 0 x 4 Germany Edit: So with Uruguay advancing on penaltys yesterday and Spain win over Paraguay (1x0) the semifinals will be: Uruguay x Netherlands Germany x Spain Lots of injurys and cards will hurt these games but hopefully the winners will reach the final with full force. I think the winner of the Germany/Spain match will win the World Cup.

Holland beat Uruguay 3-2. Holland's second goal would have been called offside 4 out of 10 days? I say offside!
It was a good game. Has to be, I got up at 3.30 am to watch it... Zzzz Germany will beat Spain, and then Holland! |
