an off-topic comment, but I just found the MOST dynamic-sounding version of Shuraba & Kenka Joutou on... YOUTUBE

yep, official since 2013. EMI sucks.
another point to mark is that Sounan and Gunjou Biyori are also present in different mastering, rather than the ones in Album, Single, tokyo incidents vol.1 or even golden time. Last edited by harry4567 : 2015.07.06 at 02:41 AM. |

Er, that's his point. There's a reason why nobody complained about the sound quality of Gunjou Biyori or Sounan when the PVs dropped. EMI had better sounding recordings, but they gave us fucked versions on CD/DVD. So yes, EMI sucks.

Okay, I thought he was saying that he had found awesome renditions of these tunes that were independent of EMI, i.e. bedroom remasters. That's why I pointed out it was their page. I wasn't aware he knew.

Just found that Gips in her official channel has better dynamic range, and sounds better than ever. If you hold on a second, and think that you are PAID to the records for hearing some brickwalled as fuck audio while the more natural sounding version is out there FOR FREE. It's quite unfair to us as fans.

Speaking of being fucked over with mastering:
As mentioned elsewhere, this is the waveforms of A Life Supreme on both the original disc and the new 'remaster' that appears on the Taiwan Disc: ORIGINAL CD: As you can see, it's bad enough. However: TAIWAN DISC Why????

^ shhhh, that was posted by me on jps, let the die hard fans buy the disc!!!
edit: actually, the 'original' one was mora.jp hi-res, which has better sounding than the brickwalled cd version (as I told earlier in here) |
