Ah, I see.

And he's been phoning it in ever since. Good riddance, Uki.

Wouldn't you consider Dynamite Out! as one of the more tangible examples of the quintessence of Shiina Ringo's music? Because I would.

I meant Post-Adult.

I think we can all agree that both Kyouiku and Adult are worthy of being included alongside Ringo's other solo albums? Not saying they are all the same quality, but they are at least within the same ballpark.

I think it's funny that you consider Sports "generically poppish". Maybe it is considered to past TJ albums, but not by typical musical standards. This isn't something that would be played on a pop station over here in America. Maybe in Japan it would? Maybe someone that lives in Japan can correct me on that. It would be very hard to convince a typical pop fan to like any TJ album, I think.

With that said, I discovered Shiina Ringo and Tokyo Jihen two years ago and I'm very happy I did. My first exposure to her was in TJ and the song was "Noudouteki Sanpunkan". I was instantly hooked and sought out her whole discography as well as TJ's. I'm sad to see TJ go since I never got to see them live, but I do have to admit that "Daihakken" wasn't the best of albums, so I can't say I'm surprised they decided to break up. I hope Shiina continues her solo career.
