Yeah Yeah Yeahs- Sacrilege

I am disappoint.

I hate the stupid gospel crap in it, so lame, listen to Abbatoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus to see how to do it correctly.

^New album title implies one behemoth of an album.

David Bowie - The Stars (Are Out Tonight)

I like Bowie's new song!

I'm pretty on the fence about these guys album, but Palma Violets have my favorite song so far this year.

Fake EDIT 1: That Yeah Yeah Yeahs song is awesome.

Fake EDIT 2: I'm planning my reply to the conversation going on in the Carnation thread. Sorry if I will be late to the party. Just didn't want to let any body down since my brand of neko-orchestra smashing has been so absent. If no one else, I'd let myself down.

The Strokes - All the Time

I don't know exactly what to think of the new Strokes stuff. It reminds me of the last album, but not half-baked. All the Time is definitely better than One Way Trigger and sounds kinda Is This It?/Room on Fire. Yeah, I think I'll give in to hype on this one.

Default The Teardrop Explodes - Bent Out of Shape

The Teardrop Explodes - Bent Out of Shape
51-52 minutes especially used to pack so much emotional punch. I first heard this song on a really good cassette mix someone made for me in around 82/83, dominated by music that had just come out in the 80s.

That Barbee Boys song title is appropriate. It's the button I instantly looked for after 30 seconds or so :-p

It's not that different from Jun Togawa's 極東花嫁 really. Ringo asked Barbee Boys guitarist to join Tokyo Jihen I heard.

...except that its lacking the brooding atmosphere and vocal talent. Though I do hear similarities in the bassline/crawl to it.

CLT:
The new Bowie is better than most would suspect. A good comeback.
The new Boris is nice and heavy, a good return to their 'boris' form. If they had a distinct form to begin with that is.
