If I heard an artist that sounded similar to an artist I liked a great deal, I would hear them out.

I've been getting into Superfly a lot lately. sure, her style isn't very original and her albums are mostly hit and miss but her voice is one hell of a force of nature (no pun intended).

She just needs to do a Janis Joplin cover album.

she already did a cover of "Piece of My Heart". but if there's a song I think she should cover it's Ringo's Tsumi to Batsu. actually I think Ringo should write her an whole album

I'm sure many of you have seen this already, but I'm late to the party, and am just now discovering this dream team:
So much better than the PV. Probably the best execution I've ever seen, of post-KZK post-Phase 1 material. Not only were all the instrumentalists great, but Shiina Ringo's participation was flawless.

^ them specials (NHK SG ones) are awesome through and through. Maybe her performance is that good because it's a project she actually cared a lot about...
That in turn makes me sad though, that SG didn't get to spread it's wings in a full blown tour. Such potential wasted. I always think that the majority of Ringo's stuff has better live versions than it does on the CD, just look at pretty much all the Jihen lives (give or take Just Can't Help It). And even if the performance wasn't top notch, we'd always get some new version of x song. Maybe when/if she finally does a solo tour, at least some of SG will get the live versions it deserves.

^I never understood why I'm seemingly the only person who like JCHI.
I've probably posted this before, but whatever.

I'm sure JCHI woulda been better if you were there, but I don't know what it is about it... the DVDs production maybe? Just sounds so... flat/no dynamics.
The added effects are nice but they kinda blur the lines between long PV and concert.

@karateexplosion, you're not the only one that likes JCHI. I love it and it's my fave TJ concert. I think that JCHI together with Domestic Virgin Line concert (which was even better than JCHI) comprises TJ's high point. I was never a big fan of Dynamite Out that everybody rave about here all the time
