Well, take Variety, Sports and Daihakken and try to admit that any of these releases are better than SG. It goes to show who the strongest songwriter in the band clearly is. It also proves whoever's point it was that she should write most of the album too.

Leaving the boys in charge led to SSAW, afterall.

I picked up a physical copy of the album, and the producer is the same as it was on the previous 3 albums--that is, the band and some other guy. So the (muddy) production must have been intentional...which I would expect anyway given the band's stature.

Sports is much, much, much better than SG. Daihakken is on par. Variety is... Variety.

See? It's possible!

Sports is pretty good, but it has nothing on the same calibre as Shun.

Shun is probably my least favorite track on SG. Sweet Spot is way better.

Alright I guess we're at a crossroads. Neither can win here LOL. Each to their own but I know I'm right :-p

Was listening to this on a long car ride home, it's a good album for nighttime driving.
Also, Kaze ni... sort of reminds me of Yokyou. (Maybe Yokyou and Onna no ko should switch places...?)

Haha, it wasn't so much about the album so much as... that's when I got on a "let's translate these artists' blog entries!" kick and those entries were the most recent at the time. But then I kind of discovered there wasn't much of value in them so I stopped ("oh, I like these sunglasses" "I'm cleaning my house" zzzzzz). Might come back later but I'm focusing all my non-song translating energies on Ringo stuff at the moment.

First of all, what surprised me, was the name of this album, since it's not named after a category of TV programs. This feels odd. You may think of the Discovery Channel, but it doesn't really feel that right.
It actually is, as you'll see here, but I thought that too at first.

I'm a little scared by the fact that I actually get what you're saying.
