it isn't uncommon to bump into Japanese celebrities in Tokyo. I actually had a few run-ins down side streets in Shinjuku and Omotesando, with people I didn't care much for or who I had to google after, but it was still kind of memorable. My favorite time there was this huge photoshoot for this japanese actor/singer/model, and as his group of 30 PR people buttered him up a giant advertising truck with his face painted 20 feet high rode down the road and everyone ooh-ed and ahhh-ed and kissed his ass. it was epic.

also, I'm not inclined to say how, but I've been able to observe Ringo in private quarters with her friends and family and she was (not so) shockingly normal. Just a regular mom with a not-so-regular job. she is so self-defeating and humble in interviews I think if anyone were to shock her by recognizing her on the street she'd be more scared of you than you of her. her entire persona years ago was based on her stage fright and kind of timid nature, Ringo was her character she created to deal with that. After years of fame being in the spotlight might get easier, but a character trait like that doesn't just disappear. its one of the things I love about her, she is larger than life as a musician but seems timid and down to earth off the stage.

if you want to know the truth, I actually tried to play it as if I was too cool for school and spent most of the time talking to my companions and I didn't even notice Ringo had appeared until someone pointed out she was over my shoulder. total noob

OSCA caused me to have to change my pants. Denpa Tsuushin was stronger for me though I already loved the song. The expo ver of MaruSa wasn't that great for me this time...I might get use to it in time. Zettai Zetsumei into Sounan was wonderful. The new arrangement on Sounan will take sometime to get use to as well but I did enjoy most of it.

Oh and when she smiled I melted.

I also don't think I'm touching Spa & Treatment I saw it a few times already.
