Favourite Phase 2 Performances?
Not limited to LIVE performances. Anything Phase 2 related.
Mine is Kaban no Nakami Spa and Treatment. It's not exciting as a live performance, but it sounds sooooo much better than the studio version. I also like Ukigumo's playing here. I think people do generally agree that Ukigumo is good when the song calls for it. And you? Let's be positive, peeps. (In before Rakujitsu) |

Hmm, without giving much thought, I'd say "Kenka Joutou" and "Tegami" from JCHI. The first because that metal interlude is just cool (you gotta admit it!), and the way Ringo says those opening lines is fierce. "Tegami" because it definitely improves what I don't like about the album version (mainly Ringo's mono tone screams).

Yeah, Souretsu is my no 2 performance.
The sheer fact that they were able to do arguably Shiina Ringo's most creative song justice live shows that they're not that bad (Or maybe I should give most of the credit to the bunny girls) |

their cover of come on lets go is a personal fav. it showed the first time that ringo would duet with the boys (good? bad?) and izawa picking up a guitar, showed the versatility of the band in general and had a really light and fun atmosphere that isn't always present when they are playing more serious work.

Yeah, I like Come on Let's Go. Pity that one of my favourite TJ P2 performances is a cover. And it's the only time I can stand Uki's vocals. Cool performance.

if I had to go with my top non-cover Phase 2 performance, it would probably beeeee, Himitsu album version (non-rap). the entire band is super tight on that song and each is doing their own thing that tends to add rather than complicate the whole song. the rock version at DO was nice, but they are horses of two completely different colors so it isn't worth comparing. this was also one of the first times we heard the band together, as the intro on their first new album.
