Even though I like neither of those guys...
I think this is a rather pointless argument. For all we know she could be influenced more by 80s Jpop people than Ukigumo or Saito Neko.

But something I would like to say.
SR's best musical influence = Junji Yayoshi.
Because that, and her own musical genius, gave birth to KZK.

Well.
It's a disputable choice.
But no doubt that lead to possibly her most creative and well-executed output ever.

People here never grow tired of absolutely meaningless shiina-bashing, do they?

Are you trying to imply that she shouldn't play her old songs the way they're meant to be played anymore? So Luna Sea shouldn't ever play anything from their first few albums because they were teenagers when they were written or Iron Maiden shouldn't perform anything because they're old? Tadashii Machi, Honnou, Izonshou, and several other songs from MM and SS are certainly more "mature" than the childish Variety.

Now now. It's cool because the influence didn't involve his "skill" on the album. I almost wish somebody else would break her heart just to get another wonderful album from her.

There's a big difference. Madonna's old material sounds dated because it is dated. Meanwhile, SR's doesn't. SR's old material is from this decade and sounds like it's from this decade (outside of Variety). Her best days were only five years ago. An album like the old days is exactly what SR needs. Something more from the heart than from her head that's overly stuffed with music theory and outside influences.
