I'm so happy with how Seishun no Mabataki turned out — I was expecting a Keiichi Tomita ballad arrangement by-the-book (which isn't a negative anticipation at all), but instead he delivered a wall of synthetic sounds (not a single violin string was heard), rhythmical guitars, abundant drums, the usual harmonic smoothness (dat bass) and tasteful details/accents (that crescendo right before the first chorus is delightful!).

This is showing the respect that this great SR composition deserves, not only for the arrangement/production but also because it's clearly begging for her vocals... I bet she had written it for herself.

The PV is clearly directed by the same guy from many of her previous music videos, right? His style is easily recognizable to me. It's so compatible with the atmosphere of the song, beautiful imagery!

This has been a great day.

I really like the new Seishun no Matataki though I still prefer the Bon Voyage arrangement

Private - LOVE IT!! sounds a bit like kyary only it's a much better song and much better vocals

not feeling so much that Cappucino, it's a bit too mainstream to my taste

seems like she's heavy on the english this album, maybe she's planning an overseas release?

Admittedly I just can't stand studio albums without an underlying aural theme unifying the songs together (I'm well-aware this is a compilation but they are completely new arrangements), so I've been doubtful of this release since hearing about all the different producers getting their grubby AVEX hands on this. But the previews sound amazing, especially in comparison to Nippon, and I'm sure there are a good amount of int'l fans who are glad that this release is definitely moving away from Jihen territory. Can't wait to hear it in full

You should have no problems getting the CD when it comes out, the poster is another story, it's pretty much GONE on all the online sellers I've looked at. I'd say try a major store like Tower though if you really want the best shot.

Wait, does this mean KPP isn't familiar with Shiina's music? I was of the assumption that any modern female singer in Japan was influenced by Shiina in someway or another

^Anyone who makes that kind of assumption is a decade behind everyone else.

I believe Kyary attended one of the Toutaikai performances last year.
