In the "people are buying less physical CDs these days" situation, otaku are never a part of that trend. So it makes sense.

Otaku aren't a part of any 'trend.'

Mainly because my active fandom for them has passed already (Ayu's past her time for me. And while I'm sure Arashi's still making the catchy yet redundant pop, their novelty has grown old.), but I still marvel at the fact that both Arashi and Ayumi have still sold so much.

That is a sad sight to see so many Johnny's/boy groups there. It seems like teenage girls run the world in Japan now.

:3 Days/Green is 11th so I think Ayumi still beat them...some how with those awful songs D: Next Level wasn't a bad album too, I was kind of surprised.

I don't think sales really mean much. Ringo is always number one seller in the stock of my heart D: if that really means anything at all.

Shun is incredible, i have high hopes for the album now, AT and SG were pretty good but they didn't blow me away,, Shun on the other hand is THE shiina ringo ballad, it may have jumped Rakujitsu and gave it a black eye

Funny, AT is climbing up the charts again. Must be the album release plus the final chapter of the drama. It seems to be more paced sales, compared to her other recent singles (TJ included).
