The Japanese tour title (thanks, mrnarse), makes me want an EM-ified rendition of Tsugou ii Karada. And the second A-Side in the Anniversary single, although that would probably sound too much like Koufukuron.

The 8/5 single was just officially announced.

The first track is 長く短い祭 (Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri), or "Long Short Festival". Described as a summer anthem dance tune with "Brazilian Spice", it will also feature her "regular dude" Ukigumo on vocals. This one is a tie-in with Coca-Cola.

Second track is 神様、仏様 (Kamisama, Hotokesame), or "God, Buddha", which we all know about already.

The first track will be released digitally on 7/10, with the second track coming 7/31. CD release is 8/5, with first press editions containing an early ticket registration insert for the upcoming tour.

ETA: The song is very "pop" and there's really nothing groundbreaking here, but that said, at first impression I still like this song much better than "Kamisama, Hotokesama."

Autotune on Ringo doesn't make sense to me...

Does ANYONE like the sound of this coke song? Like anyone?

Maybe Uki needed it, and it would have sounded weird if it was only on one of their voices...

I actually like the song, but for the auto-tune. It will be interesting to see what she does with it live. Given a different arrangement it has some potential.

I know she's done commercials in the past, but a song for Coke? Have SOME integrity. It's hard for me to like songs tied in with advertising; I become unable to judge the song on its own merits and only think of it in that context.

She's dabbled with auto-tune on some song from Sunny. It was used in a more creative way, but I still didn't like the use of it overall. I thought she was going back to rock? What happened to that? She switches images so much.

That new song sounds like her version of that SMAP summer song that she wrote. Sorta kinda like it. Also, Coke is great (full disclosure: they are a client >.>)

Question: How difficult is it for me as a foreigner, non-ringohan member to land tickets for her tour? Am kinda dead set on catching this tour but procuring tickets may be an issue . . .
