It's less melodic, the second album sounds fundamentally different (I wouldn't classify it as less indie, it's pretty hard to go indie-er than Citrus). The first album never reaches the heights achieved in Citrus (With the exception of "It's Too Late").

Okay I'll try my hand at this recommendation thing. If it's not your style Jihad, someone else might like it. French power pop with female vocals--Superbus.

Superbus - Tchi-Cum-Bah

Superbus - Le Soleil

I'm going to second Cosmo!'s recommendation of Regina Spektor's 'Begin To Hope'. I know Jihad appreciates hot singer songwriters, and Regina is just fantastic. The first half of this album is flawless, different and wonderfully quirky. She came to mind because I know you like Feist, and although Spektor doesn't really sound like Feist, I'd imagine you could appreciate her. And you have no excuse for not downloading it, for it lies within.

I have no idea if you've took any notice, but I've raved about The Libertines enough on this forum. Get 'Up The Bracket' (album) for gawds sake.
