^ That is truly a quandary. A music world that embraces Ringo obviously should love Jun too. Sigh. At least you, I, JR and Emil are eternal fans.

I'm right there with you re: Jun Togawa. Nice to see SR finally getting some western press, even if it's late in her career. Speaking of which, it's really late in Jun Togawa's career. It's frustrating how little attention Japanese musical genius gets. At the same time, it's satisfying not to be on a bandwagon. But it should be a bandwagon, etc.

I imagine they asked Courtney Love - So what kind of articles do you want in the issue you're 'editing'? - and she went on some insane ramble and they picked whatever coherent sentence fragments they could out of it like "Japanese girl singers" and got people to write about them.
I remember that Love expressed some kind of admiration for SR before though, right? So there's that too. I read the interview with Love herself that accompanied the 'guest editing' slot and... I'm pretty sceptical that she's capable of much editing, yeah. There is a new Hole album coming out though. |

This is my first time hearing of Jun Togawa, and I must say I'm madly in love already. I just spent the past hour and a half watching various videos on youtube and just... wow <3 How did I never hear of her before? Such a shame.

I don't know what to say about Togawa Jun...
other than she's a little deviant, but very brilliant. what's the opinion of 1 music journalist compared to that of a forum of proper Japanese music loving fans? I wonder why only female singers were featured though. Does Jpop seriously lack male singers with personalities?
