Shuraba gets my pick as my fav TJ single though. Sounan was the better song but all three songs on Shuraba was just top notch.
Everything you just said summed up my feelings exactly. Everything.

I'm also surprised as well. I still think its not as unique as their other songs, but I love it to death.

I think Gunjo Biyori is a good song, but it along with TJ's Ringo No Uta are not quite as interesting as some other TJ songs which blend genres (Himitsu, Gomatsurisawagi, etc.) and have interesting beats and melodies and complex instrumentation.

Ringo no Uta (single ver) wins just because of Coba's bandoneón.

Wuzzat?

I loved Shiina Ringo Ringo no Uta, but I thought Tokyo Jihen ruined it (which doesn't actually keep me from listening to it).

My mistake. It's accordion, not bandoneón.

Unlikely. Here's Coba http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/coba/english/index.html
If i'm not wrong he played accordion on Ringo no Uta.
