@justriingo. Great version of a great song. I remember when the original was on the radio in '74.
I was surprised to find some Donald Fagen today. YouTube was wiped clean of his work a couple of years ago and I didn't expect to see any again.

I just found this band by accident last night, and I'm already amazed. I'm considering throwing down real money to get their album. (And I'm a pirate that never buys music, except for Shiina Ringo, and even that's pretty rare.)

^ Sounds like standard pop-punk to me. Not bad. I want to hear more, but I don't see what they do better than say Pop Disaster, Bugy Craxone, or The Mad Capsule Markets.
Educate me more. You also led me to this, Cinders:
Also pretty standard, but I like it as well.

It is pretty standard pop punk, but it's my first time really hearing punk in japanese. And I think I'm in love with the singer lol she's hot and that voice is so rough and wonderful, but yeah, nothing revolutionary. She's no Shiina that's for sure, but it's nice to see a female japanese singer that doesn't seem like a prissy pop idol.
Here's one more video they have: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHXw20afRqQ Then there are some samples of their album on the amazon page. http://www.amazon.com/Rocknroll-Pira...9534258&sr=8-2 Gero and It's your life sound interesting. Hmm this Bugy Craxone you mentioned seems pretty cool, thanks. Also, that Winnie band sounds a bit too much like standard pop for me to be excited about, but it's not bad. |
