Psychic TV - Just Like Arcadia (live, 2003)
Surprised this sounds almost decent. I was pretty wrapped up in Psychic TV back between 1988-1992. Mostly hasn't held up. The concert experience was great, and they may have had the most powerful collection of samples I've ever heard. Often quite evocative. This was all back before Genesis had boobs. It's hard to begin to express my deep ambivalence about everything Psychic TV related.
I need to step back from youtube. I am too all over the place tonight. Last edited by Superficial Fan : 2011.12.23 at 05:16 PM. |

Boris frequently makes metal "best of" lists (at least when they operate with a very liberal definition of metal). Some of their songs qualify, in my (non metal fan) mind as actual metal; some are just metal-flavored; others have nothing to do with it.

Joan Armatrading - Water with the Wine
Finally taking my own advice to listen some more to Joan Armatrading, who I think is relatively overlooked.
Love the harmonies in this song. The opening makes it sound a bit more conventionally bluesy than it is, so give it a moment: http://www.myspace.com/joanarmatradi...-wine-35108220 (The fact that this song is not even available on youtube is at least some evidence that yes, she is overlooked.) (& apologies if I have posted a link to this song before, but a search didn't turn it up, if so.) Last edited by Superficial Fan : 2011.12.24 at 06:01 PM. |

Repost repost. I raise a cup to Carlx. My savior She sings jazz very well. And she does pseudo-throat-singing like ringo did in DO kurumaya san. 2:29-2:45 my favorite part. Made my ears orgasmed and spasmed and whasmed. |
