Oh man. I really really really like this album.
I'm all the more devastated that Hirama left the Jihens now. *sulks*

HZM's album is... okay. I'm not a fan of his songwriting, neither am I a fan of his singing. I love him with the Jihens, but solo/in PE'Z... not that much.

But really, after listening to When I feel the sun in Tokyo, I'm all the more convinced that Kyouiku was only 1% of what Tokyo Jihen could have achieved. DO was maybe only 40%. Hirama can play more than "loud overpowering rock guitar", as this album shows. Even with the Jihens, he didn't try to steal the limelight all the time (it was HZM).

I'm willing to bet my JCHI dvd that hardly anything by Petrolz is even half as good. (Someone needs to find something soon!)

Everytime I imagine the possibilities of TJ phase 1 ver 2.0, I get a little bit more disillusioned.

Just listen to Show Me How To Live a bunch of times because it's the closest we're going to get to that. The drums really are a million x better when it's Hata playing them instead of Hirama.
