now that is one conservative photo!
I just realized the 13 tracks on SG are the "genital conditions" of the 13 men who saw Ringo's naked body. clever concept! so there was a meaninful purpose to the nakedness. |

So she based Sanmon Gossip on Japanese Mills and Boon? =P =P This is interesting. Though, I'm not sure what you mean when each track is based on a 'genital condition.' Whether they had erections? The physical appearance of their penises? I wonder how she went about trying to represent this with music. How would you even begin to translate it? |

Now, I think it's overthinking.
After all, all this could be an afterthought. She said that originally it would be cool having a title that could be shortened to "SG" (the guitar). "If I was asked how much of meaning or emotion is contained in the tittle (when she created it) I would answer that, frankly, I don't remember", something like that. "But if I think back about it (the meaning of words Sammon Gossip), I would say...", then come the part Emil-san translated. Off course, it could be that she is just beeing round about. |

hahahahah
seriously though, it's amazing that she used a natsuo kirino as her inspiration. she has three novels translated into english, "out," "grotesque," and "real world," and they're TERRIFYING and DISGUSTING and AWESOME. |

Sorry, I'm lacking several things to do it whole.
part 1 0:30-1:30 *impression on 10th anniversary* She didn't expect still doing this (at 10 years later). She was lucky to sell well at young age. Her plan was then to make connection and to go some other area where she can be specialist. Regardless of good sales, her own absolute evaluation was no valid. |

if her music career didnt do well, she might have wanted to use her connections to become a full-time general purpose composer, if i remember well.
She said she wanted to write for SPEED or other groups, maybe the opening and ending theme of a drama or anime...she's really living the dream. She got to do both. |

Thanks, Emil
So she imagined that her career would be flash-in-the-pan and it'd die down and she'd go into some other area using her connections as a boost? Is there anything in there about her plans for the future, or the making of SS/KZK, or Tokyo Jihen? I'm intrigued. She allegedly didn't want to be famous, she only planned to make three albums, she does things 'for the fans' (And partly makes SG because Ukigumo and Izawa were doing their projects), she also didn't expect to be in the music industry this long. Interesting. I'd like to know about her attitude towards her own music. EDIT: I hope she remains prolific for the next few years... |

part 2 4:45-5:05
*Sanmon Gossip M9 Mayakashi Yasaotoko* If Karisome was in, she made a tune wanting to apply SOIL's characteristic sound, Latin but not South America, a smell of Mediterranean or Tokyo. Last edited by EmilScherbe : 2009.07.14 at 02:36 PM. |
