The bad point about Boku wa Kuma is that there was no actual PV for the song; there was only the Minna no Uta version... I hope this won't happen with Ringo's song (it didn't happen with 'Ringo no Uta', tho.)

Wait what? Haven't SR songs been tied-in with CMs and j-doramas since the start? Doesn't make her a sell out...her solo career has been off and on in recent years, so it might be the necessary promotion to maintain her ability to chart well.

^ True having songs used in commercials and tv shows doesn't make you a sell out, but making a "comeback" consisting mostly of songs created for tv shows does. There's a big difference between something like Gunjou Biyori and these new songs.

Is "Sell Out" really the right term? like to say that would indicate that she's compromised her artistic integrity for mass appeal or financial gain, but she's already had her peak and is a millionaire so I'm not sure on what her motives would be for all of these commercial tie-ins, perhaps she actually wants to do this for other reasons other than to "sell out" that term sounds really harsh and I'm not sure how accurate that comment is.

(writing for boybands is as much of a compromise to your integrity as an artist you can get, let alone anything else)

Hey guys, you just wait - she's going to release Utaite Myouri vol. 2 which is going to be Ringo covering her own songs, written for others.
I won't label her a sellout until I've heard the - possible - album.

I'm going to watch the Minna no uta Ringo no uta soon, but I'm in the middle of a studying session. Thanks grumble cake!!!

Also Boku wa kuma reminds me INCREDIBLY of this old kid's show (originally Polish I think, but it was also aired in Japan and even has a Japanese website) - everybody I showed it to from here agreed. (just the first 50 seconds or so)

That Japanese RnB artist, Asuka is who I'd call a sellout (Not that Japanese RnB artists have much 'artistic integrity' anyway, but this artist was actually talented)
