What, you mean he actually replied to your emails before? Count yourself lucky!

Hey, does anybody know how HMV Japan delivers to the US (i.e. UPS, FedEx, etc)? If it's of any help, the order I'm expecting contains the HF LP, so the package is gonna be pretty bulky.
HMV only uses EMS for abroad shipping.

Is your order in ' delievery process ' or ' Ready process ' ? 3 days have already passed since its release, but my order is still in 'Ready process'. how about you?

HMV was holding my order for a couple of days, too.

Then they just sent me an email saying:

Thank you for visiting HMV.co.jp.

Your order is ready to be shipped.
However, the final carriage is higher than the estimate.

Estimate: 4000 (JAPANESE YEN)
Final: 7500 (JAPANESE YEN)

If you wish to cancel your order, please let us know.
We will cancel your order and you will receive the confirmation.
If the final carriage is acceptable, we will ship your order as soon as we receive your e-mail.
(No overseas shipping during weekends & Japanese national holidays.)

Please note, in the event we do not receive your reply
within 7 days of this e-mail, this order will be cancelled.

Yours sincerely,
HMV IFC
So they only use EMS for overseas shipping?
If they have the weekend cut-off point for overseas shipping, and it's the weekend now, they won't send my package out until Monday.
That means (assuming I want to go through with this) that I'm getting my order in a week instead of 3 days, for the higher price they want to charge me (there are no cheaper alternatives), because they waited too long to ask me. (they literally sat on my order for at least two days before contacting me)

This is unacceptable.

At least CDJapan had their shit together. I'll have my DVD within 12 hours from now.

He has replied to 2 emails, out of about 6 or 7 sent. The last reply I got was round about October last year, saying that he'd finally received the items and they were boxed and addressed and ready to be sent the next day. They never were, and every attempt to contact him after that has failed.

If you've been reading his blog recently, he's been buying a LOT of new equipment... cameras, lenses, mobile phones etc...

You're gonna have to let this whole Brad thing go.

Unless he stole, like, over $200 from you. Then I'd do this:

Hire a private eye to find out where the guy's family lives in America.

Contact the family and tell them Brad ripped you off. Be nice about it. Give them the whole spiel. Offer to show them emails he wrote confirming things, and offer to show proof that he took your money.

Tell them because Brad is in Japan he is untouchable, legally speaking, but that if his family could contact him to let him know he's being a dick, he may then be persuaded to pay you back.

Yeah I've just got e-mail from HMV too. They should have informed us of it earlier.
