Yeah, but those complaining about it being more poppy should go back and listen to "Oblivion", which isn't so different from some of the new tracks. She's always been a fan of Asian music; some of her older songs have a traditional Chinese music vibe to me.

I was at the Taylor Swift concert last night. She was grate. Out of the Woods was spectacular.

She played in Florida on Halloween so I saw her truck on the highway while i was traveling back from my halloween escapades and I definitely fangirled! Idrc to see her on tour just because I feel like I can get the whole experience through social media for less money and less being surrounded by kids lol. Glad she was good!

As far as Grimes goes I kind of think of her new direction as parallel to Seiko's....she's still doing weird idiosyncratic stuff, but she's doing it through the vehicle of popular music she loves and wants to emulate. And it's great!

I don't really see why people are comparing it to Kpop/Jpop though, anything specific that sticks out for you? I know some of her older stuff does kind of have an asian sound but this album seemed pretty Western to me.
