The studio version uses autotune though?

Just revisited SUNNY and realised this was what the mastering engineer had learned in mastering way through Ringo/Jihen's catalog!!!
MoRA muddy bass+Adult sharp highs+Daihakken vocal treatment+Reimport sharp meds=SUNNY mastering.
Wow. Much ear bleeding.

Yeah, Togatta Teguchi already uses autotune, unless harry means more than usual. I wasn't able to watch the preview...

It sounded pretty goofy yeah,

But my overall impression is that the show is going to be inoffensive and pleasant, just like the festival one that came out last week or whatever that we've already forgotten about.

Well since is an OT thread now I'll just ask here, what is comment #14 referring to? "There are people who had affairs and are continuing activities like Shiina Ringo".

I would assume this is referring to Ringo's former husband, who she is rumored to have become involved with while he was still married, with the specific intent of seducing and becoming pregnant by a married man.

Sunny never sounded that bad to me once I messed with some EQ tweaking on my end.

Always felt like the start to Re:Import was more ear bleeding than anything on Sunny. Those horns and percussion blast you in the face.

Holy crap, I just got around to watching the "Dream Festival" video...and yeah, the arrangement is nothing new...but damn, Ringo is freaking ON FIRE.

ETA: Goddamn it, even the Coke song!

ETAA: And the megaphone!!!! Oh, God, yes!

That does sound like something a young tryhard Ringo would have aimed for as if it was a badge of honor. Funny I don't remember it...

I can see how Sunny's production offends people. I think JL005 is one track that could have been cleaner and allowed to breath more. Sports I'm not sure. I really like the ear bleeding aspect of Re:Import that FadedSun mentions, especially with the first three tracks. From what I can tell from Variety, the album sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom.

That story sounds like folklore to me (it just plays into her image) although I do remember reading something about her writing a 'mission complete' message on her website when she finally did get pregnant
