This is a bit late, and probably few are interested in what the DJ was saying, but... come on W3ihong (I'm assuming that you are Singaporean Chinese), you didn't even recognize Shiina Ringo's name being pronounced in Mandarin! For the non-Chinese speakers, the Kanji for Shiina Ringo is pronounced something like Zwei-Ming(Shiina) Lin-Chin(Ringo). Note: this is not pinyin, which does not elicit accurate pronunciation from the untrained (the pinyin would be -- Zhuiming Linqin). The 'ming' or the 'na' part of her surname is a morpheme that appears in words such as 'name', 'fame', etc. hence W3ihong's confusion.
