It's not so much the screaming (which I can handle) but the incredibly whiny lines. Like, shut up man.
I was joking about the win/lose thing. I feel like my relationship with Smashing Pumpkins is always going to end with "...but I like the guitar" |

The only thing that really surprises me is that you haven't sung Jimmy Chamberlain's praises. Dude is an amazing drummer and an absolutely integral part of the Pumpkins sound. Just listen to the band only version of Tonight, Tonight. Holy shit.
I know you were joking. I forgot to put a wink at the end of that. One thing that sticks out on Mellon Collie is the presence of James Iha. He kicks so much ass on the album and finally gets to do some guitar solos (hello Zero).

>Complaining about Billy Corgan's vocals
>Liking Shiina Ringo's vocals I always found their vocal style to be comparable. That was part of the initial draw for me, she was like a female Billy Corgan. EDIT: Since we're blessedly back on the subject of MCIS, there are some complaints out there about the vinyl remaster about some tracks being hot. Namely "Zero." My copy has this issue, which is kind of a bummer. It's not unlistenable, but it is noticeable. Its hard to say how wide spread this is since "audiophiles" are some of the least agreeable people ever, I swear. EDIT: Also, my Porcelina skips like a mother fucker. Though, my turntable doesnt have an adjustable anti-skate, I havnt come across very many issues before. Porcelina on my copy is rife, but not Take Me Down.

@Jihad: I'll let you know how my MCIS reissue plays after I get some time to sit down with it.

The biggest difference between Billy Corgan's vocals and Ringo's vocals is that they do not trigger dopamine rush, not to mention that Ringo's vocals have more balls. |

Not for me...Songs like "Honnou", "Himitsu" and "Ryuukou" show that Ringo is one of the best singers, whereas Billy Corgan is just some guy whose voice I recognize. :p
Also, that Haniwa-Chan album seems very hard to get...
Currently enjoying 9mm. |

... do you mean hard to get as in 'hard to get into' or hard to physically obtain?
I have an older CD pressing but I believe they just repressed it??? Or perhaps it was some other Mishio Ogawa works and I'm getting mixed up.

I meant it's expensive. ¥ 11,359 on amazon, the only thing that matches are those out-of-print Fuji Mariko albums. Don't think there's a re-release.
