![]() I'm Watching Orange Days right now! It's pretty good.
I don't know much about Dramas. I'm interested for the same reason as Frecklegirl (however I would still need subs) |

![]() A question: is there a dorama where they can actually act? I tried watching some, and it's a joke. The one thing that Japanese and Russian TV have in common is the quality of the "acting school" that all TV actors seem to go through. You can't even judge their acting as good or bad as it doesn't approach being believable.

![]() Yeah, that's one of the things that keeps me from watching a lot of J-dramas. The acting is almost always pretty terrible. Korean dramas seem to be a lot better when it comes to that.
Of the dramas I've watched, I really enjoyed Nodame Cantabile. It's very slapstick, wacky, and over-the-top but really made it stand out to me among other dramas. Give it a try, maybe you'll like it too.

![]() I've seen the anime and loved it, despite the fact that I'm not in its target demographic. I'll have to try out the drama.

![]() interestingly, it seems easier to find hard-subbed episodes (at least of older series) than raw ones! If I have subs I have to focus on not looking at them and it defeats the whole purpose of practicing my Japanese listening.

![]() Kinda a super bump, but I was wondering if anyone's watched Hanzawa Naoki?
I'm a strangely big fan of Aya Ueto from her music career, but in the past 2 years or so she's seeming to get a lot more acclaim for her acting. (still have yet to watch Thermae Romae) And from the few things I've read, this drama was a BIG thing in Japan. So, any thoughts/opinions/recommendations? ![]() I need to get into a Japanese drama -- I'm losing my Japanese, BAD. ![]() ![]() |
